A Well Managed Classroom By Harry Wong

An amazing resource for teachers. This article helps reinforce the first day of school. Wong suggests telling your students what you want them to do on day one. He also suggests to give your class time to practice your rules. Teacher need to stand at the door and welcome each one of their students. This article will help me refresh my memory on classroom management. This article is an outstanding resource, and gives an overview of Wong's book The First Days of School. I will use this in my classroom to reinforce classroom management. I will use Wong's tips and suggestions. For example, I will give my class a schedule so they have no surprises on what is coming. They will know what the next activity will be after math. I will already have a prompt for my students to work on as soon as they come in the classroom, this way the students are on task. I will work on practicing my expectations with my students so if I needed to step in the hallway or answer a phone call, they would know what to do.
